Thank you to everyone one who helped make the day a joyful celebration! The blessing of each animal, by name, means that health, healing and life are being mediated from god for the benefit of the animal in its relationship with its human partners. Over 60 families joined father michael cooper for this.

There were close to fifty people who attended this event with their dogs, cats, and birds. Francis is known for being a person of deep peace who supported the poor and protected the natural environment— but he is especially beloved as the patron saint of animals. To bless is to impart god's power in person!
